Frequently Asked Questions

What is Reverse Osmosis?
Reverse Osmosis is a natural process using water pressure to separate pure water molecules from dissolved solids and pollutants

What is the difference between reverse osmosis, spring and distilled water?
Water should be H20. Reverse osmosis is a process that removes dissolved solids and pollutants by molecular separation, Spring water is natural water with dissolved solids. Distilled water has been heated and condensed to remove pollutants.

Why do I need a small pressure tank for the home reverse osmosis system?
A pressure tank is an air tight reservoir for the immediate supply of water without waiting for the molecular separation process.

What maintenance can I reasonably expect on the home reverse osmosis system?
Reasonable maintenance is testing the quality of the product water, replacing the carbon filters yearly and replacing the membrane, as required, every three to five years

Is this really needed ? The municipality already claims to purity my water?
"Purify" is a qualitative, non absolute terminology. You can economically improve the quality of water supplied by the municipality for your own personal consumption with an in-home reverse osmosis water treatment system
